The Big Run 5K

Hosted at the scenic Ivey Redmon Park, this event offers both a challenging 5K and a fun 1-mile untimed run, ensuring there's a distance for every runner and walker. The Big Run 5K stands out with its inclusive approach, featuring three distinct 5K heats to accommodate various paces: a competitive heat for those aiming for sub-30 minutes, another for runners over 25 minutes, and an Elite Wave for top athletes with qualifying times. Elite runners can even vie for a share of the $1400 cash prize purse! Beyond the race, a lively post-race expo awaits, and the first 350 5K registrants and 80 fun run participants are guaranteed a commemorative race shirt. Typical race day conditions in early June see highs around 84°F and lows around 64°F, with a 16% chance of precipitation.
