While primarily unpaved singletrack, each loop incorporates a mix of approximately 1.5 miles of paved roads and 1 mile of gravel roads. With roughly 900 feet of elevation gain per loop, accumulating to 7,000 feet for the 100-milers and 3,600 feet for the 50-milers, the course is known for its "run-ability" but can be deceptively challenging, especially if runners overpace.
