The Race to Grand Oaks

Lace up your running shoes and ignite your Grizzly pride at The Race to Grand Oaks on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Spring, TX! This engaging community event invites current, past, and future Grand Oaks Grizzlies, along with their families and friends, to participate in a friendly competition across 1K, 2-mile, and 5K courses. All races begin and conclude in front of the Grand Oaks High School (GOHS) Ticket Office, offering a vibrant start and finish line atmosphere. The courses wind through the scenic Grand Oaks High School grounds and extend into the surrounding roads, including Woodson's Reserve, providing a dynamic backdrop for your run or walk.

More than just a race, this event is a spirited celebration of local camaraderie and healthy competition among the GOHS feeder schools. Participants will have the unique opportunity to cast a vote for their preferred school, with the top three receiving monetary donations for their PE departments. Proceeds from the event also directly benefit the dedicated athletes of the GOHS and York Girls' Cross Country and Track teams, fostering athletic development in the community. You can even boost your chosen school's chances with an additional vote for every $5 donation to The Youth Alliance, a local non-profit supporting students with food insecurities and providing supplies.
