The Tennessee Mile

Prepare for an unparalleled endurance challenge at The Tennessee Mile, set against the scenic yet formidable backdrop of Franklin, TN, on December 4, 2026. This unique event takes place on "The Murder Mile," a private land course renowned as "The Toughest Little Mile in Tennessee" and home to the organizing family for over a century. Runners will test their limits across a challenging 1.1-mile loop featuring a stout 340 feet of elevation gain, including two "monster climbs" and sections with evocative names like "HERE'S JOHNNY" and "WIDOW'S ROW," interspersed with runnable stretches on a wide, old logging road.

Choose your ultimate test from timed divisions including 40-hour, 24-hour, 12-hour, and 6-hour races, or join the youth 5K (for ages 16 and under). Unlike traditional races, The Tennessee Mile is a looped event where your goal is to complete as many laps as possible within your chosen time frame. Runners are encouraged to bring their own aid and crew, with a designated crew area for pop-up canopies and ample space for camping in the big field near the start/finish line in the old barn lot.
