Embark on a unique journey with The Theater Project FundRacing, a virtual event designed for enthusiasts of running, walking, and biking who also champion the performing arts. This initiative supports The Theater Project, an award-winning independent professional theater founded in 1994, dedicated to making live theater accessible and fostering new talent in New Jersey and beyond. Participants have the opportunity to engage in two distinct challenges: a Virtual 5K Race, to be completed between June 26th and June 28th, 2026, or a more extensive Virtual 150-Mile Challenge that can be walked, run, or biked cumulatively from March 28th to June 28th, 2026.

Unlike traditional races, The Theater Project FundRacing offers unparalleled flexibility; you can complete your chosen distance wherever and whenever suits you best, whether outdoors or on a treadmill. While the event is tied to Union, NJ, through The Theater Project's roots, your personal course can be any path you choose. During the challenge period, typical conditions in the region see highs around 55°F and lows around 35°F, with a relatively low chance of precipitation, providing a comfortable environment for your efforts. This "fund-racing" approach allows participants to create a personal fundraising page, inviting friends and family to sponsor their endeavors and directly contribute to The Theater Project's mission of engaging audiences and artists.
