The View Trail Race

Embark on a challenging fall adventure with The View Trail Race, set to take place on November 7, 2026, in scenic North Bend, PA. Organized by the dedicated PA Trail Dogs, this event offers both a demanding 25K and a spirited 15K option, providing a unique twist on the renowned Hyner Challenge. Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 53F and lows near 33F, coupled with a minimal 13% chance of precipitation, creating crisp, invigorating trail running weather.

The course is known for its rugged trails and impressive elevation, leading participants through the breathtaking beauty of Pennsylvania's remote wilderness. The 25K route features approximately 3,000 feet of elevation gain, incorporating significant climbs and descents along trails like The View, Post Draft, SOB, and the exhilarating downhill of Huff Run. Those opting for the 15K will experience the initial 5.5 miles of the 25K, including the iconic ascent to "The View," before branching onto Spring Trail and descending Huff Run, accumulating around 1,800 feet of elevation gain. The single accessible aid station is located at Hyner View State Park, approximately four miles into the race.
