Therefore Walk, Run, and Shine

Lace up for the inaugural Therefore Walk, Run, and Shine, a spirited event set to take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the welcoming community of Kountze, TX. Participants can choose between a 5K run/walk or a family-friendly 1.5K (1/2 mile) children's run/walk, catering to all ages and fitness levels. Typical race day conditions in late February offer pleasant weather, with highs around 70F and lows near 48F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation, providing an excellent environment for a memorable race experience.

More than just a race, "Therefore Walk, Run, and Shine" is a vibrant community event with a profound purpose. This first annual gathering supports Therefore International’s global Gospel outreach initiatives, which include church planting, Christian education, discipleship, and vital life-sustaining care such as food, clean water, and medical aid in West Africa and beyond. The festivities kick off at 9:00 AM from the First Baptist Church Kountze, located at 100 W Monroe St, which serves as both the start and finish line. Beyond the run, participants and spectators can enjoy an open car show, a silent auction featuring unique wood crafts, and a special "Therefore Luncheon," making for a day of fitness, fellowship, and philanthropy.
