Lace up for an unforgettable trail adventure at the Three Creeks Torrent Trail Runs on March 14, 2026, nestled within the picturesque Three Creeks Conservation Area, just ten minutes south of Columbia, Missouri. This event offers challenging distances for every trail enthusiast: a demanding 50K, a stout 20-mile race, and a vigorous 10-mile option, along with a 10-mile ruck. Runners will navigate an approximate 10-mile loop course, comprising 80% single-track trails and 20% jeep/gravel roads, featuring a diverse array of terrain. Prepare to get your feet wet, as each loop includes around ten creek crossings, alongside approximately 950 feet of elevation gain, promising a moderately difficult but highly rewarding experience.
Beyond the physical challenge, the Three Creeks Torrent boasts a unique historical backdrop; the land was once owned and worked by freed slaves following the Civil War, with remnants of former homesteads still visible along the route. Typical race day conditions in mid-March often bring pleasant temperatures, with highs around 56F and lows around 37F, and a 17% chance of precipitation, creating ideal cool-weather running. Two well-stocked aid stations, located at the Deer Park Road trailhead start/finish and approximately 5.5 miles into the loop at Tomlin Hill trailhead, will keep you fueled. Please note, this is a cup-free event, so all participants are required to carry their own hydration vessel. With a limited field of 135 competitors, this race offers a more intimate and supportive atmosphere, ensuring a memorable journey through Missouri's beautiful and historically rich landscapes.
