Lace up for an iconic Tucson experience at the TMC A-Mountain Half Marathon, Cigna Healthcare 4-Miler, and Family Mile, returning on October 18, 2026. This popular urban event, based out of the vibrant Mercado San Agustin Annex on the west side of Downtown Tucson, offers a distance for every runner and walker. Starting near 267 South Avenida del Convento, participants will revel in the unique course and a lively post-race celebration.

The Half Marathon, Tucson's singular event of its kind, promises breathtaking scenery and a challenging yet rewarding journey. Runners will navigate a scenic 13.1-mile road course that winds around and ascends to the summit of Sentinel Peak, affectionately known as A-Mountain, providing panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountain landscape. The route also features a fast out-and-back stretch along the picturesque Santa Cruz Riverpath. Be prepared for some hills, including a steep uphill and downhill on the A-Mountain portion, along with speed bumps. Half Marathon participants can expect a technical race shirt and a unique souvenir medal, with a four-hour time limit to complete the course. Water and Skratch will be available at aid stations, and portojohns are strategically placed along the course; however, those anticipating over two hours on the course should consider bringing their own hydration due to typical race day conditions.

The Cigna Healthcare 4-Miler provides an equally rewarding experience, circling the top of A-Mountain with stunning views, while the Family Mile and SAR FitKidz Free Mile offer fun options for all ages and abilities. Typical race day conditions in October bring pleasant lows around 58F, though highs can reach 87F with only a 2% chance of precipitation, so a hat and sunscreen are recommended. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment at the Mercado San Agustin Annex, where live music, food, and drinks create a festive atmosphere that supports local non-profits.
