Touchdown 5K

Lace up your sneakers and don your favorite team colors for the exhilarating Touchdown 5K, a Super Bowl-themed run taking place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Newark, DE. This festive event kicks off at 10:00 AM EST from the picturesque Olan Thomas Park, located at 89 Paper Mill Road, where runners will embark on a 5K journey amidst a beautiful backdrop. Participants are encouraged to wear their team jerseys, transforming the course into a vibrant display of football spirit as they race towards the "end zone".

The Touchdown 5K, organized by Fusion Racing, promises more than just a race; it's a celebration of game day, regardless of whether your favorite team made it to the big game. Runners will receive a custom bib and Fusion Racing winter running gloves. After crossing the finish line, the celebration continues with a lively post-race party at Timothy's, featuring food, drinks, and music. Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners, overall masters male and female, and the top three in various age groups. With typical race day conditions seeing highs around 43F and lows around 26F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation, it's an ideal setting for a brisk and exciting race. The event also proudly supports the Friends of Fusion Foundation, an all-volunteer organization assisting children, young adults, and first responders in Delaware.
