Experience the breathtaking beauty and fragrant fields of the Olympic Peninsula at the annual Tour de Lavender, a premier cycling event taking place on August 1, 2026, in Sequim, WA. Known as "America's Provence," the Sequim-Dungeness Valley offers cyclists a truly unique ride, combining stunning natural scenery with visits to iconic lavender farms. Choose your adventure with two distinct routes: the 64-mile Metric Century or the up to 35-mile Fun Ride.

The Metric Century offers a loop course through the rolling foothills of the Olympic Mountains and nearly 20-30 miles along the scenic, traffic-free Olympic Discovery Trail, gaining over 2,000 feet in elevation with a couple of challenging hill climbs. Meanwhile, the family-friendly Fun Ride provides a mostly level, easy loop along back roads and sections of the Olympic Discovery Trail. Both routes immerse you in multi-hued lavender fields, offering vistas of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains and the Salish Sea. Cyclists can expect well-marked courses with yellow directional arrows and safety signs, along with digital and paper maps.

The Tour de Lavender is more than just a ride; it's an experience, featuring fully-stocked snack and beverage stations at multiple lavender farms and Sequim Bay State Park. Mechanical road support and medical assistance are available along both routes, with a special "shopping service" to transport your farm purchases back to the finish area. After your ride, celebrate with post-ride pizza and a beer garden. This event, which begins and ends at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula in downtown Sequim, consistently draws over a thousand participants and contributes proceeds to the Peninsula Trails Coalition for the maintenance of the Olympic Discovery Trail. Expect typical race day conditions with comfortable highs around 71F, lows around 52F, and only a 1% chance of precipitation.
