Get ready to explore one of Bedford's hidden treasures at the Trail Nut 10k & Half Marathon Trail Races on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Held in the picturesque Falling Creek Park, this event offers runners a chance to immerse themselves in a beautiful wooded setting, navigating over nine miles of intermediate rolling, twisty, single-track trails. Participants can choose between the challenging Half Marathon (approximately 13.1 to 13.35 miles) or the brisk 10k (6.2 miles), both promising a memorable trail running experience amidst scenic views and potential wildlife sightings of turtles, deer, and rabbits.
The course is predominantly trail, featuring a dynamic mix of 90% single-track, 9% grassy fields, and 1% gravel road. Runners will encounter rolling hills, with some sections offering technical challenges like roots and rocks, while others provide smooth dirt paths through open clearings with gorgeous vistas. The 10k race consists of a single loop, providing a water/Skratch stop at the 3.4-mile mark. Half Marathoners will complete an initial 9-mile long loop, followed by a 4.1-mile second loop, with water/Skratch stops available at 4.65 and 9 miles. A cutoff time of 2 hours and 10 minutes applies for completing the first 9-mile loop of the Half Marathon.
