Lace up for an inspiring journey at the Trauma Survivor Run, set to take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the scenic surroundings of Alamogordo, New Mexico. This deeply meaningful event offers both a 6.2-mile (10K) and a 3.1-mile (5K) distance, providing an opportunity for runners of all levels to participate. Starting at The Tays Center, located at 2235 N Scenic Dr., participants will traverse a beautiful course through Alamogordo, with the 10K beginning at 8:00 AM and the 5K following at 8:15 AM.

More than just a race, the Trauma Survivor Run stands as a powerful celebration of National Trauma Survivors Day, honoring the incredible strength, resilience, and courage of those who have faced trauma. This event fosters a supportive community, providing a platform for healing, unity, and raising vital awareness about the challenges survivors overcome. Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 88F and lows near 50F, alongside a low 2% chance of precipitation, making for pleasant morning race temperatures.

Participants can look forward to commemorating their achievement with finisher medals for the first 200 to cross the finish line, and the first 200 registrants will also receive a commemorative t-shirt. Packet pickup will be held on May 22nd from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Christus Health Conference Center, 2669 N. Scenic Drive, in the Yucca room. Join fellow runners and walkers for this uplifting day, moving forward one step at a time in solidarity and hope.
