While primarily a road race, be prepared for a short stretch of grass path as you explore this prestigious horse country. The course also features some hills, providing a dynamic challenge for participants.

The Triple Crown Trot 5K starts promptly at 8:00 AM, with race-day registration opening at 7:00 AM at Ashford Stud's McCracken Pike Entrance, Fire Gate 19. Typical race day conditions in late August feature highs around 84F and lows around 64F, with a 14% chance of precipitation, making for potentially warm but manageable running weather. Beyond the thrill of the race, your participation supports a vital cause, as all proceeds benefit the Woodford Humane Society. Strollers are welcome on the course, provided they can handle the grassy section, allowing families to enjoy this unforgettable event together. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, with overall top finishers receiving one-of-a-kind thoroughbred sculptures. For the safety of the horses, pets are not permitted on the course.
