True to the Brew 5K

Lace up your running shoes for the True to the Brew 5K, set to take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the heart of Columbia, SC. This exciting 5K race offers a unique opportunity to explore the city's vibrant downtown atmosphere on the Capital City Passage of the Palmetto Trail. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will appreciate the course, largely described as non-technical, wide, and mostly flat, with hardly any significant hills to navigate.

As a proud addition to the established True to the Brew race series, this event helps promote and support the Palmetto Trail, with all proceeds benefiting its expansion and maintenance across South Carolina. You can anticipate comfortable typical race day conditions, with historical highs around 70°F and lows around 44°F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation. The race welcomes families, strollers, and even leashed dogs, making it a truly inclusive community event.

The True to the Brew 5K promises an unforgettable experience culminating in a lively finish line celebration at the Palmetto Trail Headquarters at 722 King Street. Participants can look forward to live music, a complimentary craft beer from Craft & Draft, and a delicious cookout to refuel and celebrate their accomplishment. Be sure to register early, as True to the Brew events are known to sell out quickly, with this race capped at 500 participants.
