Valentine's Run 2026

Lace up your running shoes and celebrate fitness and affection at the Valentine's Run 2026, set to take place on Saturday, February 14th, in sunny Bakersfield, California. This upbeat event offers both a scenic 6.2-mile (10k) and a spirited 3.1-mile (5k) race, making it a perfect outing for runners of all levels. The course is renowned for being flat and fast, winding through the beautiful campus of California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB), offering an excellent opportunity for a personal best or an enjoyable stroll with loved ones.

The Valentine's Run kicks off bright and early at 8:00 AM for both distances, promising a memorable race day under typical conditions for this time of year, with highs around 65°F and lows around 42°F, and only a 3% chance of precipitation. Beyond the enjoyable course, participants will vie for unique, handmade heart-shaped awards, presented to the top three finishers across various age group categories. After crossing the finish line, runners can refuel with healthy post-race snacks and even try their luck for amazing prizes in the raffle. For families, a special highlight is the provision of age and skill-appropriate activities for children aged 6-11, led by CSUB Kinesiology Faculty and Students, ensuring a fun experience for everyone.
