Veterans Day 5K

Runners can choose between the 5K, a Military 5K, or a 1K Fun Run, providing options for all ages and paces.

The Veterans Day 5K promises an uplifting atmosphere and camaraderie among participants as you traverse the course around Fairfax Corner. While the official 2026 course map is still to be revealed, expect a well-organized road race experience. Typical race day conditions in early November in Fairfax, VA, feature crisp autumn air with highs around 58°F and lows near 38°F, with only a 12% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative race shirt, a race bib, and a finisher's medal, along with digital finisher certificates and free downloadable race photos to capture your memorable experience.

This popular event, consistently drawing enthusiastic crowds, is professionally timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female age group finishers in five-year increments, ranging from 14 and under through 80 and over.
