VMA-PHF Campus Veteran Ruck

Lace up your boots and load your pack for the VMA-PHF Campus Veteran Ruck, set to take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in San Antonio, TX. This unique 3-mile event offers a chance to experience military-style camaraderie right on the UTSA campus. Participants will embark on a spirited ruck around the university grounds, carrying a weighted pack of their choosing, with increments starting at 5 lbs.. It's an opportunity to challenge yourself physically while honoring a shared sense of purpose.

The 3-mile course winds through the UTSA campus, offering a straightforward and accessible route. Typical race day conditions in early April in San Antonio feature comfortable highs around 81F and lows around 58F, with a low 7% chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for rucking. Adding to the distinctive atmosphere, the event will also feature a custom guidon competition, with a 50/50 split prize for the winner, enhancing the competitive yet collegial spirit. All participants will meet at the Brackenridge Lot on campus before stepping off for the ruck.

Following the ruck, the camaraderie continues with a gathering at "The Block" food truck courts across campus, a perfect setting to unwind, share stories, and connect with fellow participants, just as military members do.
