Watershed 5K

Lace up your running shoes for the 11th Annual Watershed 5K, set to take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the heart of Fairbanks, AK. This popular community event offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the scenic neighborhoods and trails surrounding The Watershed School. The 5K course promises an engaging run for all skill levels, beginning and ending right at The Watershed School located at 4975 Decathlon Avenue. Participants can expect typical race day conditions to be crisp and cool, with highs around 52°F and lows around 33°F, and only a 5% chance of precipitation.

More than just a race, the Watershed 5K is a vibrant fundraiser benefiting The Watershed School PTSA, directly supporting students, teachers, and staff with initiatives like library books, the All-School Ski Day, and teacher appreciation events. Race day registration and bib pick-up kick off at 9:00 AM AKDT, with the race starting promptly at 10:00 AM AKDT. After crossing the finish line, runners can look forward to a special "All You Can Eat Sourdough Pancake & Sausage Fundraiser" hosted at the school, where those with a race bib receive a discount on this delicious post-race meal.
