Williston Marathon

The course itself is a rolling, double-loop path around the XWA Airport, providing an engaging terrain for all participants. All races commence and conclude at the Overland Aviation building on the airport campus, offering convenient parking and designated areas for family and friends to cheer on runners. Along the marathon and half marathon routes, six well-supported water stations provide basic first aid, electrolytes, and light refuel options, with restrooms available at both the start/finish and along the course. Typical race day conditions in early June boast comfortable highs around 75°F and lows around 49°F, accompanied by a minimal 12% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.

Beyond the unique setting, the Chord Energy Williston Marathon is a non-profit event, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Upper Missouri Relay For Life, supporting cancer patient care and travel expenses in the Williston area.
