YL RoCo 5k & Fun Run

Lace up your running shoes for the Second Annual YL RoCo 5k & Fun Run, set to take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in the scenic heart of Lexington, VA. This twilight race offers both a 3.1-mile 5k and a 1-mile Fun Run, welcoming participants of all paces, from competitive runners to leisurely walkers. The event kicks off from the VA Horse Center Hoofbeats Barn, guiding runners through picturesque woods and along a beautiful trail that hugs the Maury River, promising an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with comfortable highs around 74°F and lows around 50°F, accompanied by a low 12% chance of precipitation, creating ideal weather for a fall race. Beyond the charming course and inviting atmosphere, the YL RoCo 5k & Fun Run stands out for its mission to support Young Life ministry in Rockbridge County, aiding middle, high school, and college-aged students. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your achievement with fellow participants as food trucks will be on site, and prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. All registered participants receive a complimentary cotton t-shirt.
